Kindra Mitchell-Dorsey, PhD, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology and a PhD in Family Studies. Throughout my career, I have gained experience in various areas, including substance abuse, domestic violence, clinical research, and both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings.

My approach is tailored to address the unique needs and diversity of each individual client. I am dedicated to working with individuals who are dealing with racial trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and self-esteem issues.

In my therapeutic practice, I utilize techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), mindfulness, and relaxation techniques. My ultimate goal is to assist individuals in building resilience, developing self-awareness, and discovering effective ways to navigate life’s challenges.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor with a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology. Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Conflict Resolution.

Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse populations in community mental health settings, particularly individuals experiencing severe mental illness. I have extensive experience working with both adults and adolescents who are grappling with anxiety, depression, and struggling to navigate life transitions.

In my therapeutic practice, I incorporate a range of evidence-based interventions to provide effective support. These include Love and Logic Parenting, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Seeking Safety, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), applied behavioral analysis (ABA), Gottman Therapy, and Power through Positivity.

My primary focus is on empowering individuals and families, assisting them in reclaiming meaning and stability in their lives.
